What is there to do at the Pagsanjan Fall, Philippines?

lisasabrin

We will be there in a few days..What can I expect, and appropriately what should I wear?

Answer
Please wear what is comfortable for you.

°A bathing suit under your tank top, shorts is fine. You can remove the tank top and/ or shorts if you are comfortable with it.
°If you have aqua shoes, please wear it. It will protect your feet from the stones and will give you a better footing (grip on the slippery walkway).
°Waterproof camera (the disposable ones work fine).
°A towel, comb, fresh change of clothes.
°Money for tips; the boatmen earn via tips.

Happy travels.

Is photography worth getting into?

Tyger

I'm a very artistic person. I love trying new things and expressing my creativity in many ways including painting, music, poetry and lately- photography. I bought a camera on my trip to the philippines last summer and I had a great time taking candid photos of the natives and capturing the spirit of this beautiful country. However on the last few weeks of the trip, my camera broke and I missed out on some amazing shoots.

Now my dilemma is; if I'm going to get into photography- I want a camera that will last. I'm looking into the Olympus Stylus tough 6000 which is waterproof/shockproof/freeze-proof you name it- which would surely fit my active lifestyle on my trips to the beach or up to mountains.

Now my question is, despite the few hundred I would spending on this camera- would it be worth it to get into photography itself? Or should I settle with a lesser camera and not worry about being a "Photographer" since I already do so much and may not have time to commit myself to the trade.

I'm looking for your personal experiences. Some inspiration into what it means to be a photographer rather then just being a guy/girl snapping photos. What are your views of photography as an art form and what inspires you?

Answer
I would say yes, a camera is invaluable. Maybe to get started don't think of it as a 'commitment', it should be something you enjoy, something that comes easy to you, for just those moments where you spot something beautiful or interesting and you can photograph it.

For me photography came as an accident, i was already artistically driven but i was given a camera as a present and it was the best present i've ever had.

Anyway to round up, instead of driving yourself mainly towards photography, pick it up as a hobby first, just take a camera out with you always and shoot things that appeal to you. That way your not totally committing to one project.
