Are thair any cheap waterproof cases for my kodak md863 digital camera ?

Me and my familly are traveling to the florida keys for a vacation and i am trying to find a waterproof case for my md863 kodak camera i have looked but the only ones i can find are all over $100 and i dont want to spend that much. area thair any cases that are at least $20 $30 that can stand up to salt water. or am i stuck with getting a wal-mart camera with horrible quality can anyone help

Are you diving, or just splashing around in the surf?

The cheapest way to take your camera is with a ziplock sandwich bag. You still have to be careful, but it will work.

If you want a little more than that, there are pouches made for cameras like yours that are under $100. Go to http://www.bhphotovideo.com and put "ewa marine" in the search box, without the quotes. There are about 5 pages of bags and accessories. One of the smaller (and less costly) bags should work for you. You could also change the search to "waterproof bag for Kodak md863" and see what happens.

I need a durable camera for my Appalachian Trail hike next year and need something inexpensive (preferably $250 and less) that still performs reasonably well.

The Fujifilm Z33 is the poorest choice. From DP Review's waterproof camera tests, the best ones are (in order)...
Canon D10 ($299) and Panasonic TS1 (is more pocketable)
Pentax Optio W60
