I only want the kind of cheapest one, im going on holidays and wanna take some underwater videos and photos with my little cousins. doesn't have to be excellent quality, as long as its not shocking image resolution and as long as it doesn't let any water in i'm fine with that.
Bing Lee is selling the Olympus for $179 now, down from $199, which is the same as the panasonic.
So i'm thnking i'll get the olymus.
Has anybody here owned either of the cameras that could tell me whether they are any good and whether they have had any problems with them
thanks

Waterproof cameras scare me because I hear FAR too often about leaks, even when they are brand new.
Apparently it is very easy to catch a tiny hair or some other object in one of the seals (e.g. the battery / memory card door), and that is enough to let water in.
I'd suggest buying extra warranty protection and trying it out pretty much right away if you intend to go swimming with it.
Unless you pay a LOT of money, your waterproof camera will be a little P&S, so don't expect miracles from it - the quality of most shots will be so-so at best.
I have a very similar Olympus camera (a slightly older version of this one). It works ok in great light, but is very noisy in low light conditions. The features/settings are limited, but some of the scenes are fun to play with as long as you're not a serious photographer expecting top quality.
I never dared to actually put it UNDER water :-(

The Best Brand For Waterproof Digital Cameras?
Chris
I would like a camera that can sustain weather-related obstacles like rain, snow, etc. I want a camera that is 10 Mega Pixels or higher, can capture video, and is between the range of $100 - $250. (Image Stabilization is a plus)
I would like to know what brand can supply me with a camera equal to the features i want or a camera alone that any of you may recommend.

The Canon D10 came out on top, but it is over your budget.
Pentax W60 was second, and within budget, but it lacks image stabilization.
