Okay so I want a waterproof camera to take in the pool in summer. I make videos on Youtube ( and yady yady yada ) so ya. I want a good ( ish ) quality one for cheap. My friend on Youtube got one from Claire's but mine dosent have one. Please help me!

Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 -- I've been wanting one of these for underwater photography for a LONG time now.
It goes for around $200, which is extremely cheap, considering its features (this is quoted from Amazon.com):

So it'd be GREAT for pools!

I still have a few more questions to ask about the syle if photography I want to take and the best camera for it.
1. What is this type of photography called?

There are several different "types" of photography on that blog. Not sure which you are really talking about. There is the sickeningly sweet stuff of love, which is very popular with teenagers, then there is some underwater/marine photography, There are photos of celebrities. And the ones that she actually takes credit for are nothing special.
When you say SLR, are you talking film or digital? I will assume digital since most kids aren't at all interested in shooting film anymore.
You can't get a new DSLR for $300. The cheapest I have seen one lately is a Sony a230 for $429 at B&H. The next cheapest are the Pentax K2000 for $443 and the Olympus E520 for $449.
You can however get a used DSLR for $300.
KEH has a 30D for $172. That is for the body only so you would have to buy a lens. They also have a like new 18-55mm for $94. Total of $266 which leaves you enough to buy a decent camera bag and a memory card. I am sure they have similarly priced Nikon, Olympus, and Pentax available too. Just do a search:

Or watch for a good deal on craigslist or ebay. Just be careful about other dealers online. I trust B&H and Adorama and have heard nothing but good things about KEH, but there are a lot of dealers out there who are scamming and running bait and swtich operations. Check any online dealer at resellerratings.com to see their ratings and buyer's reviews.
