I'm planning on getting a camera or camcorder to get some good footage of me surfing and eventually make a surf montage video. I just don't know what HD waterproof cameras and camcorders are out there. Go Pro cameras are certainly an option but I'm looking for other alternatives. Thank You.

Which waterproof digital camera has the least shutter lag?

I've read a lot of reviews for waterproof cameras under $300 and most shutter lag is mostly the complaint. Does anyone have one that has low shutter lag? My budget is $250-$300 and it would have to be waterproof.

Canon D10 or Panasonic TS1 are 2 good waterproof camera that I would recommend. Canon D10 waterproof to 33 feet while TS1 waterproof at 10feet but TS1 can record HD video
