Crystal Voyager is a 1973 surf film directed by David Elfick. It was filmed, written and narrated by surfer, photographer and filmmaker George Greenough who had previously made the 1970 surfing film The Innermost Limits Of Pure Fun.
The film is structured as a loose biography of Greenough and was shot largely in California. It documents Greenoughâs search for uncrowded waves, which led to the construction of his 37-foot ocean-going yacht. It also feature Greenough's surfing friends, Californian Richie West and Australian world champion Nat Young.
Crystal Voyager premiered at the Sydney Opera House on 5 December 1973 and had a successful three-week run there before opening in other states. The theatrical 35mm version of the film is different to the original 16mm release and was re-edited by Elfick and Greenough. It became one of Australia's most successful surf films, grossing more than A$100,000 (1973 figures) on its initial Australian release, before being picked up by British Hemdale Corporation. Crystal Voyager gained substantial press on its release, mostly due to its strong reception at the Cannes Film Festival and it had a record-breaking 6-month run in London's West End, where it played a double bill with Rene Laloux's animated science-fiction film Fantastic Planet, grossing more than UKâ¤100,000 pounds.
The closing sequence, Greenough's short film Echoes, is generally considered to be the highlight of the film. Filmed with a camera in a waterproof housing strapped to Greenoughâs back, the sequence is composed entirely of slow-motion footage shot inside the curl of waves, edited to the 23-minute song "Echoes" by Pink Floyd. The group reportedly allowed Elfick and Greenough to use the music in their film in exchange for the use of Greenough's footage as a visual background when they performed "Echoes" in concert.

Going to England this spring m. What should I pack?
Madison
I'm leaving march 21 and staying for 3 weeks. I know it's early but I want to know what i should pack and what's the weather like during the spring
I'm 13 years old
Answer
It can be cold, around freezing, it can also be quite a bit warmer, like 15C (about 60 F).
Rain is likely anytime of the year but it does not rain all the time.
On extreme weather years it has been colder (freezing with snow) or warmer still.
So pack to prepare for those weather conditions.
Best is to bring layers.
If you are used to those temperatures, bring jeans, T-shirts, sweaters, fleece jacket and a rain proof jacket, or nice clothes that are about as warm. So clothes you can wear in layers to adjust to the temperatures and rain if there.
If you are from a place which is much warmer, like the South of the USA, Australia or a tropical country, also bring a warm layer for under your trousers, pajama pants, leggings or training trousers will do.
Chose your shoes sensible, ones that are pretty waterproof, trainers or walking shoes. You can take/should take a second pair that can be fancy shoes or slippers to use in the bathroom.
Also take a camera, your phone (check that roaming is switched off) and their chargers. Your toilet bag, for three weeks tester bottles will be big enough, and a towel.
And do not forget a book or something else to keep you busy on boring days.
