best underwater camera kids image
lawlson
I used to 'read' it as a child. It has no words at all just a picture book and it's got a little boy who finds this underwater camera that washed up on the beach, so he takes it and gets the pictures developed and then the pictures show all these really cool things. Including one picture that has all these kids that found the camera, so he throws it back in the water and the last page of the book shows it wash up on another shore. It's an amazing book and I want to buy it for my little brother. Thank you!

Can Sony Handycam underwater housing withstand the pressure from cliff jumping 50-70 feet?
electrobla
Has anyone tried this? Is it relatively safe if kept far from the face? Would the pressure hitting the water crack the case? I want to try some funky shots holding the camera while jumping.
Answer
I donât think the integrity of the case would withstand the impact of the water. The protection of underwater (pressure ) given by the manufacture of the case would be a lot less, and the waterâs pressure is slow and equal as the case is submerged verses a sudden impact to the water surface. One of the kids in my media production class attached a camcorder to a bungee cord and let it fall off a bridge (he was not with the cam). Although he had to make a special cradle (so the cam wouldnât spin or tilt while falling) the shots cam out well. For your water âfallâ shots, you would want to re-enforce the underwater case, but since the front of the lens needs to be clear, that part of the case would be at risk of failure.
