How to waterproof a video camera?

I recently bought an inexpensive camera, the Sony HD Webbie and have been having a lot of fun honing my photography skills but I would like to take some underwater shots. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to waterproof a video camera (I also take still shots with it) without having to buy those expensive underwater casings.

There is no such thing as a waterproof video camera, aside from professional ones that are used for movies and such. Unless you happen to have an extra $100,000 layin around, I don't think you're going to get a waterproof camera. Sorry. If it's stills you are looking for, there are waterproof disposable cameras.

I have a waterproof, small video camera. Will they give me any crap for trying to take this on the ride with me?

sorry they wont let you take the camera as its a safety issue for not only others but also yourself. best to get someone else to film you as you decend.
