You need to have manual control over the shutter speed and the shutter speed should be able to go to 30 seconds. Most digital cameras don't have this option because of the noise they will produce at such long exposures.

Means that your camera can record a video in 640 x480 (0.9 MP) resolution at 60 frames per second.

LOL I actually like the answer above me. Its interesting, and gives a purpose instead of wandering around take pictures of random stuff. If you don't like doing that idea, think of a purpose you'll like to do. AIM for an idea, have a purpose in your pictures, don't just go taking random pictures of flowers and stuff.
A waterproof camera gives you tons of possibilities. You can try something like this

or others. be creative! have things falling through water while you try to catch them or something.
