Ewa-Marine make "affordable" underwater bags. Or there are several companies that make good solid housings. Or if you decide you want to trust your expensive camera equipment to two or three layers of THICK ziplock bags...

is the flip video camera as good as everyone says?

im looking to buy a decent camera thats not hundreds of dollars and the flip really cought my eye. does it work a long time? is it worth the money or should i just get a regular digital camera?does the underwater case really work? what place should i buy from? and any other info would be helpful.

I got my flip video mino this summer and it's been great so far. If you want some REALLY high quality videos then the flip is not for you. I use it to make simple youtube videos, and it's great for that. I'm not so sure about the underwater case though because that is just for the flip ultra.. not the flip mino. But if you want better quality they just came out with the flip mino HD..it's like 229 dollars, more expensive than the others. I got my flip camera on amazon.com in white.. and for some reason the white one was a little cheaper. I'm not sure which flip camera you wan't but I would check out amazon to see if you can get a better price for it. And i'm just going to tell you that the flip video does not take pictures.. because i've seen lots of questions about that.
