What is your favorite camera for action (video + pics)?

I am currently working with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS1 (12 megapixels). The quality is good, but the problem is that is seems to be more for still pictures with good lighting. I mostly photograph my pets, and take lots of videos, and it doesn't quite cut it for moving objects (I take a lot of pics/vids of horses jumping), and the video is somewhat blurry and hard to focus quickly. A nice camera, but not exactly for my needs.

Nice quality, but there's some real blurriness.

So what is a nice digital camera that takes really nice pics/vids? I would like it to be a decent price (under $400?). I have also used a Nikon Coolpix before, and it was pretty good, but I like the Lumix better (especially since it's waterproof and I can drop it without breaking it, hahaha).

Sony alpha 55. Extremelly fast burst rate continuous shooting at 10 fps (at full 16MP resolution) and continuos focusing and HD video.
