Anyone know of a good underwater camera?

I want to take pictures of surfing and bodyboarding when in the water. Anyone know of any good ones or what sort should i get?

Most surf photographers don't use waterproof cameras. They use high quality SLR cameras that have waterproof housings.

With that said if you just want to screw around and have fun shooting try out the latest generation of the GoPro Hero. I saw some video that Holly Beck put on her Facebook with the camera mounted on her board and shooting video. It is way better than the first generation of their digital camera that I have.

My last camera broke and for Christmas I'm getting a new one. I'm from Hawaii and surf so I will be doing a lot of underwater picture taking especially when I take surfing pictures. I need it to be durable and less than $350. Thankyou!

There are some waterproof cameras that are within your budget.

I have only used the Nikon Coolpix AW100, but I am sure the others are just as good
