I'm looking to buy an ok quality, underwater camera. I have looked everywhere but everything seems to be over $200. Please help if you know of any cameras you have, or a family member/friend has?
Answer

Olympus Camera HELP!?
katie
My camera is a yellow, waterproof&shockproof Olympus Stylus 850 SW
I had it in my bag and the LCD screen cracked, the camera works,
but the screen is just messed up.
We called Olympus and they are charging me 100$,
isn't their a cheaper solution!?
Answer
Unfortunately, no. $100 is actually a reasonable price for an LCD replacement by the OEM.
Sending your Olympus Stylus 850 SW to an unauthorized repair center is a bad idea. A cracked LCD screen is a breach of the sealing offered by your camera. It's unlikely that an unauthorized repair service will be qualified to disassemble, repair, and reassemble your camera to the manufacturer's specifications (as is the case with expensive waterproof watches).
