I am going to the Caribbean and need to get an affordable waterproof camera that takes high quality pictures underwater and above. I'll be diving and snorkeling so the farther the depth of the camera the better. I want it to be inexpensive so $150 at most. I'll only be using it this one time so I don't want to spend much. Anybody know of any?

Going on a trip to Costa Rica for two weeks and was wondering if I should invest about $200 on either a waterproof camera because we will be doing plenty of snorkeling or a nice camera that wouldn't be able to go to the beach. I will still use this camera (obviously...I'm spending $200) when I get back but probably not use the waterproof function a whole lot.
Also, what camera would you recommend...I would like one that would do well in low light and it would be nice if it could fit in a large pocket.

After having used numerous underwater cameras, my favorite by far is the Nikon Coolpix AW100. The quality of the underwater photos and videos is exceptional -- just make sure you use the custom underwater mode for the perfect color balance. The LCD screen on the back is the right size so you can easily view the marine life you are trying to capture. The battery life is great. I've used it in both the Caribbean and the Hawaiian Islands on dozens of occasions.
