i am looking for a simple camera or camcorder. I want to video tape either from my handle bars my helmet or me holding it. I would like it to stand up to vibrations. if its a camcorder must be able to take stills and if a camera must be able to take video . also price isnt a thing but like 200 to 400 is ohk.

I have a Tachyon XC. I purchased it for whitewater rafting, but it's proven itself useful for many things(biking, paintball, hunting, and mud riding are among them). It's waterproof, decently tough, and can record a constant 10 hours on a set of lithium AAs(assuming you have a large enough card for it). The sound isn't too great, but that's part of the tradeoff of having a waterproof camera. It doesn't compensate for vibration, but I've seen few problems with it. If you want something that won't break on you, this is a nice option. If you want amazing video/sound, you might want something different.

I need a camera that isn't too hefty, takes good quality pictures and videos, and is waterproof. I am doing a lot of traveling soon and would like to be able to make a short film about it afterwards.

You are asking too much of a single camera and we do not know your budget

You can buy an underwater camera (10m) with a built-in GPS for under $350
