The camera I remember is held vertically. It has 3 models and records in HD. It is also a "rugged" camera, so it can go underwater up to 9 feet on one of the models. It records in 14.1 (or 14.2, can't remember) or 16.1 (or 16.2) depending on the model. I believe te model comes in either blue orange or black. If you could please assist me if anyone knows which camera I am describing. I am positive it is held upright with your hand (looks like an upside down L) when held because the screen flips out.

Answer
i would suggest the canon powershot as1400 IS you can find it @ walmart.com it is a great Digital camera without having to spend $500 on a slr camera here are some of its features portrait, night snapshot, kids&pets, indoors, smart shutter, low light, color accent, color swap, fish eye, miniature effect, beach, under water if you buy the underwater case, foliage, snow, fire works (great for disney world), and long shutter there is also white balance and you can adjust brightness and flash the camera also takes great hd videos.
and here is the short description Short Description
Shy and modest is so yesterday. Get ready for brilliance that's the center of attention once the PowerShot SD1400 IS Digital ELPH camera from Canon is in your hands. Your first glance says it all: nothing moves you like the impact of sleek sculpture, especially when it's drenched in the purest, ripest colors. Inside, Canon engineers defy micro-space with big, brilliant innovation.

LOVE THIS CAMERA, 07/24/2010
Awesome!!! We spent a lot of time researching digital cameras and were impressed by what we saw and read. We have been just as impressed since our camera arrived and we've been able to use it! The buttons are a little small but not unmanageable. We love how compact this camera is. Would HIGHLY recommend this camera!,

It's a great little camera. The zooming feature is awesome, I take pictures from far away and they come out clear, not blury like my previous camera.
Battery lasts for a really long time before having to recharge it again. It's a compact camera, it fits anywhere. I use it everyday to take pictures of my kids and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. I , love this camera!!!, Amazing, 12/20/2010
