Which underwater camera is the best one?

I'm going scuba diving (basic open water course) in December, there's an IT fair in a few days and I want to buy an underwater camera. Which one do you recommend? I have 2 in mind, any comments on these 2 or any other recommendations?
They are: Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FT3 and Olympus TOUGH series TG-810

I really prefer the Panasonic FT3 because of the following features.
Integrated GPS, altimeter and barometer
Waterproof up to 40 feet deep
Freezeproof to 14â° F
Can withstand bangs and bruises up to 6.6 feet
Good performance in low levels of light
Exceptional high quality video capture at 1080p HD
The ability to Zoom in while recording and refocusing

Which camera should I get Go-pro or Olympus?

I enjoy snorkeling and filming surfers, and I like the first person video the Go-pro offers but is Olympus better in quality of pics and video, and durability?? Im in between the Go-pro Hero 2 with the dive housing or the Olympus Tough TG-810. Please help!

The GoPro Hero2 does not work for snorkeling. Yes, there is a waterproof housing, but the lens does not work underwater. It produces a distorted, unfocused effect.
By the way, I have had great success with the Nikon AW100.
