waterproof camera 8010 image

It needs to be able to be something that won't break super easy. And one that can record video. Also if it is waterproof that would be good. It needs to be under $200 Any suggestions would be great, Thanks!
Answer
You will not find any good ones for $200.
As said previously, Nikon AW100 or Olympus Tough-820.
I have the Olympus Tough-8010 which is a predecessor to the 820 (the Nikon was not available when I bought mine), and it has worked pretty good.
There are some models under $200 such as the Olympus Tough-3000. However, they are not nearly built as well, and cannot go as deep waterproof wise.
Realize also that the waterproof rating is for calm - static water. If you dump your camera into a raging river, there will be more force against the camera, and a camera like the Tough-3000 which is rated only to 3 meters in depth may not be enough.
The 8010 had additional o-ring seals, which is why I went with that one. Also it has an all-metal case, and I think part of it might be magnesium, but I am not 100% sure. At any rate it is heavy (at least for a compact camera), and well built.
Also, Olympus has more than one camera with the same model number, so make sure it is the "Stylus Tough" series, as those are the waterproof and ruggedized ones.

I would suggest a few that I think are very good. Olympus Tough 8010, Panasonic Lumix TS2 and Sony Cyber-shot TX5. Think that Panasonic is the most expensive from these three.
What you need to consider is how waterproof these cameras are. For example, Sony TX5 is waterproof to 10 ft, when Panasonic TS2 and Olympus Rough 8010 are both waterproof to 33ft. And Sony TX5 has got the lowest resolution from these three. It's just 10.2 megapixels. Panasonic and Olympus have a resolution of 14MP, which is quite a great difference.
Sony and Olympus offer a great feature of panoramic images. your images are automatically stitched together, which gives you the extra-wide view of the scenery.
All cameras are shock-, dust-, sand- and freeze-proof. But Olympus 8010 is also a crushproof, that is designed to withstand up to 220 pounds (100 kg).
Sony launching new waterproof camera which will be up for sale in March/April and it will have a resolution of impressing 16.2 megapixels. And it is going to be the first waterproof camera that can capture 3D still images. But probably pricey too.
There are also Fujifilm waterproof cameras, quite reasonably priced, but that wouldn't be my personal choice.
