I recently bought a cheap waterproof camera off ebay and tried it out today for the first time. Unfortunately water did manage to get inside, and when I shook the camera, pinkish water came out of the inside of the camera, where I have the film. What does water do to 35mm film? Can I still process the pictures and get something out of it?
I was swimming in salt water.
It went max. 1 foot deep into the water.

Answer
You bought a used underwater camera? That's risky.

Before you use a camera like that be sure to replace and lubricate all seals before putting it in the water.

Yes, you will be able to process the film. Will you have pictures? That will depend on if it was salt or fresh water and the length of the submersion. There is only one way to do find out!

How much does a waterproof camera cost?

I want a waterproof camera so I can film stuff underwater :p
I'm looking for a regular camera, nothing professional. Like a Cool Pix or something .... Lol, but waterproof! About under $200 if so. And also, if I can't afford anything over $200, how much are waterproof CASES?

LAST QUESTION! If I can't get a waterproof camera or case, are there any ways to make my camera waterproof, or things to put it in? Thank you!

Answer
My waterproof camera cost about 125$. It was money well spent. I've had it for a year now and it's great and works wonderfully. You can buy a
camera WITH a case, like I did. You can find little kids underwater cameras for a lot cheaper but they don't work quite as well.
