I am planning to buy a small tiny camcorder/digital camera which has 1080P recording.
If it has some built in flash card storage which can do around 5+ recording it will be great.
Any suggestions and model numbers are appreciated.

Are waterproof cameras for use underwater, or are they just waterproof if you spill water on it?

Ask the person at the store how waterproof your camera is. Even the most waterproof cameras are really just water resistant. You can take them to several meters below the surface, but eventually the pressure of depth will make the housing leak. How deep do you want to take your camera. Tell the clerk that's the kind of camera you want.
Of course, water resistant cameras are more expensive than regular ones. Sometimes you can buy housings to go on a camera you already have. You might want to see what you can find in that if you already have a camera.
Kodak used to sell a single use camera that was good to 3 - 5 meters. I haven't seen one of those for ages.
