What should I be adding to my backpacking list?

Max_Power

I am going to leave at the start of next year for a 7 month long backpacking trip around Australia...I'm an Australian...

I want to know, especialy by those who have experience, what should I be packing with me on my trip?

What clothes? tools? what bag should i be looking to purchase? What provisions? What is vital for me to pack?

I already have a list which is pretty long:

Supplies
â¢Water poof matchesâ¦
â¢Small mullet for tent pegs...
â¢First-aid kit
â¢Water bottle
â¢Cup
â¢Fork and knife wrapped in a towel
â¢Small 2 person tent
â¢Sleeping bag
â¢x2 - Toilet rolls
â¢Insect repellent â small bottle
â¢Sun cream â small bottle
â¢x3 - Plastic bags

Clothing supplies
â¢x5 - t-shirts
â¢x1 â Waterproof poncho
â¢x1 - Hoodie
â¢x5 â Underwear
â¢x5 â Socks
â¢x2 â pair of Jeans
â¢x2 â shorts â 1x jeans, 1x board shorts
â¢Sunnies
â¢Hat

Computer Supplies
â¢Macbook
â¢Magsafe charger
â¢Macbook case and bag
â¢Digital camera
â¢Camera USB connection
â¢Camera case
â¢Second Macbook battery
â¢iPhone/iPod charger
â¢Mini hard drive
â¢x10 - blank DVDâs
â¢iPod, & headphones
â¢iPhone
â¢Wireless pre-paid broadband internet unit

It's alot of stuff...I know...this will be stuff I'll be carrying...I won't be driving...I'll be either walking or taking the bus around to each town I visit...

What else should i take that is important for my trip that you can't see on the list?

Answer
