what is the best digital waterproof camera?

im looking for a maybe 7-10mp camera that can go at least 20 meters deep and ive got a prica range from $100-$500
so if anyone could help it would be great

The BEST one will be a good SLR in an underwater camera housing (from IkeLite).

Your budget is not nearly enough for the camera and the housing. And at 20 meters, you will also need lighting...

For comparison ease, start with a Nikon D90, check the compatible underwater housings and lighting... reputable dealers online include adorama and bhphotovideo.

Then check any Canon PowerShot or Sony CyberShot and see if Ewa-Marine has water protection rated for the depth you need... Lighting will continue to be a problem.

I am planning to buy a digital camera, but am confused with which brand to go for. Also I would like to go for a cheap yet powerful one, cause my budget limits me to 10k-15k max. I would prefer a camera which can take snaps in rain, cause that is the time when u need a camera, but u cant take photos in rain.
