I want a very good camera for less than $350. I'm going to to some video editing and special effects. My current camera records to those small DVDs and the quality is pretty bad. I don't want that much noise in dark areas. 1080p.
I'm doing SERIOUS video editing as a teen, I have all the pro software like Vegas pro and all that's left is a better camera. Links and descriptions please?
A good framerate, smooth, and very good looking video would be nice. I know I can be asking to much for a low price, but hey, that's all I can go with.

what are the camera called that people use to record their runs and bike rides and adventures?

im looking to get a camera that is whatever proof (water, shock, heat, cold) and will be able to record long runs and ride when i go on adventures. any help would be appreciated.

The Hero camera is real popular, made by GoPro. You are going to spend 300 bucks for the HD model. They have plenty of videos on the website showing out clear the camera is. Plus it comes with a waterproof case, and mounts to nearly anything.
There are plenty of other brands, but GoPro has really set itself apart from the rest. Many tv shows on Discovery and similar networks now use GoPro to get the up-close, dirty, wet, high above (Iâve seen people mount them on their kites for kite boarding).
