I would like to buy waterproof camera and I am in dilemma between PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-TS2 and OLYMPUS STYLUS TOUGH-8010. Please tell me which one do you find better and why.
Or you can suggest me something else. It is important to me that it is waterproof 10m, have wide angle, make quality videos and make great shots underwater...
Thanks!
Answer
These are main features difference :
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 : 4.6x Optical zoom, Dustproof = Yes, Crushproof = No, Continuous Drive = 1.8 fps, Storage included = 40 MB Internal.
Olympus Stylus Tough 8010 : 5x Optical zoom, Dustproof = No, Crushproof = Yes, Continuous Drive = 5 fps, Storage included = 2 GB Internal.
For the spec Olympus Stylus Tough 8010 is better, but rating review/popular camera a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 is better, The final is depend on you.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 : 14.1 MP Waterproof Digital Camera, 4.6x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom, 2.7-Inch LCD, Waterproof down to 10 meters, Shockproof (rated for drops up to 6 feet), Freezeproof, Dustproof, Record high-definition movie in AVCHD Lite, etc.

Which is the best GOPRO camera?

I dive to about 110 feet. I want audio, video and still capability. What suggestions would you have?
Answer
All the GoPros, from the first to the H3 Black, all have EXACTLY the same 60m waterproof rating.
The H2 versions used the exact same camera for all versions, the 3 versions were packaged with different mounting options (Outdoor, surf, Motorsport)
The standard case for the H2 caused a bit of vignetting underwater, not a problem for occasional use, but if this was your primary interest you would likely want the $40 underwater housing (No change in waterproof performance, it has a different "lens" to remove the vignetting...this is the only difference in this housing).
All the versions of the H3 have an improved case design that corrects the underwater vignetting, a seperate underwater case is not needed. The white approximates the camera performance of the original Hero, the Silver is similar to the H2, and the Black is their top of the line, best -to-date camera capable of getting 35 gigs/hr in 4K video (DSLRs typically get 20gigs/hr in HD).
All of the versions of the H3 include wifi, a $70 option on the H2. The Black includes a wifi remote control.
So, best down for the specific use of underwater photography:
Black H3
Silver H3
H2 with or without underwater case
White H3
Hero with or without the underwater case.
