Q. I am going to Florida in a few weeks and wanted to purchase a camera that I can use while in the ocean. I have looked around online but I'm not sure how reliable they are and I wanted to buy one that takes decent pictures both in and out of the water. Those that have used/purchased an under water camera can you tell me how well they work and its limits/quality? Maybe some brands you have used as well. It's just for my leisure while on vacation, not expecting to buy a high quality research camera. Thank you!
Answer
Waterproof or underwater?
Here is one that a colleague uses. She likes it.

Waterproof, edit, & inexpensive camera? need thoughts on what kind of camera I should get.?
Kaitlyn
Lately I've really been wanting a good camera. I had one a few years ago that is very old & doesn't have edits & such. I want a camera that is:
-waterproof
-has focus & zoom
-edits like for blemishes on faces.
-inexpensive, like less than 400 or 500 dollars.
(even if there is one that has no waterproofing, than I would like to see those too. waterproof isn't my top priority & I can just get those waterproof cases)
Thanks so much for commenting & showing me cameras! (:
Answer
A waterproof camera withing your budget is easy.
Retouching (what you are calling edits) is done in post production.
ALL cameras are auto-focus and have zoom lenses within your budget.
Here is one that has what you want and includes GPS

There are a few such cameras also made by Fujifilm, Pentax and Canon
You will have to visit a shop that sells them and see which you like the best
