Are the Nikon cameras waterproof?

The Nikon coolpix p510, & nikon coolpix l810..

id like to know if they can stand going UNDER water.. like in a pool or the beach.
or if they would be ok in the rain- heavy or light rain.

NO! They could withstand a light drizzle, but nothing more.

Nikon's two WP P&S cameras are the AW100 and S30.

cheap waterproof camera?

im interested in buying an underwater camera, but i dont want to pay over $100 for it. i have a nikon coolpix l100, and currently there are no underwater cases for it :( so are there cheap waterproof cameras? if so, where can i buy them?

Found the cheapest waterproof camera for ya on some websites, but this one had the lowest price. The camera is an Olympus Stylus Touch-6000 from cametacamera.com:
