olympus sw 850 disaster!?

i bought this camera last year coz i needed one that is waterproof.. it was fine until i used it for the first time in the pool (nov 8, 2009) after juz some pictures the battery went low.. after a couple of pictures more it died.. the worst part is yet to come.. i went home to charge the battery.. and after charging it i placed it back in.. but it doesnt turn on anymore.. it is completely dead.. i read the instructions carefully several times before i used it in water to make sure i would not do anything wrong.. i bought it in singapore and they stated its world wide warranty..

how does it work?
for how long?
are there any costs involved?
which should i go?
or who should i contact?

open up the USB and battery doors and leave it open for a couple of days, to perhaps let it dry out.

Charge your battery again,
and try it out.

Chances are one of the doors wasn't sealed when you went in the pool,
and your camera is toast.

Go to the olympus website for your country and contact them to see if you can send the camera in.
