Which is the best waterproof/tough compact digital camera?

Q. I'm looking for a decent waterproof camera and so far I'm leaning towards one of the Olympus Tough series but from looking around the internet I've found some very mixed reviews about them. Has anyone got any solid advice?

GOPRO. It's waterproof, durable, HD, and wide angle. It's mounts to anything and everything. Takes awesome video and just as awesome pictures.

I have the Olympus stylus tough shockproof/waterproof camera, but when I take videos of myself I can't exactly tell if I'm getting my whole face and if it's focusing where I want it to. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so I could see my video as I'm recording it on my computer screen so I could see myself while I do my video. Help please?

The only thing that might work is something like this camera remote mirror - which lets you see the LCD from the front of the camera. You will show up backwards in the mirror, but at least you can compose the scene.

However, the Olympus is a heavy camera for a compact camera so the extender might not work very well. I assume though that you could tripod mount the mirror part without a problem.
