What's the best Underwater Digital Camera?

I'm searching for a new camera and was wondering if anyone used or knew of a good brand of underwater cameras?
It would be used just for my personal use but I still would like the crisp and sharpened photos avalible with the camera.

what depth are you planing to go to
the Olympus 1030 claims its waterproof to around 10m. but Ive heard some horror tales where its leaked. however you do pay a price optically for the 1030's the picture quality isn't as good as similarly priced compact cameras, but then again those cameras aren't as bombproof as the 1030

all the SLR makers including Olympus produce cameras and cases

if you are going down the SLR route then the Olympus E4xx series is the smallest and lightest SLR on the market, and it does have a dedicated underwater case made by Olympus

Digital Camera Case to go more than 10 metres?

hi, i have a kodak easyshare v1003 and am looking for a underwater/ waterproof case that can go more than 10 metres. i found the seashell which seemed perfect but to my luck my camera was one of the few it didnt fit. does anyone know any cases similar to this? or just one of those bags that will go deeper? thanks

You usually need a rigid housing for depths greater than 10m as the water pressure can press buttons on cameras in flexible pouches at this depth.

If they don;'make one, you'll have to buy a compact & housing package. Some here;
