I have decided to do more scuba diving & love photography on an amateur basis. I have a digital for family pics. I would like to take nice pics underwater. But the disposables are limited in their capabilities. I am just a family picture taker & I do not want to spend too much. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I see you are not aware that an open water scuba diver goes 100-150 feet under the water.
10 feet of water is for swimming, no scuba diving. Thanks for the efforts though

Out of these i recommend the following best selling camera:

- Shockproof, dustproof, and waterproof up to 10 ft
- Kodak's Share button lets you choose your favorite sharing destination, e-mail address, or Kodak Pulse Display
- Full 1080p HD videos and 5 MP HD stills, with auto focus
- Get sharper videos and less blur thanks to built-in digital image stabilization

I will be going on my first scuba diving trip, i am very excited, and i want to be able to snap great pictures of everything and anything, and have decently clear pictures,
We will be going down no more then 25 ft a little under 1 atmosphere,
What camera under $50-$60 with a flash that will enhance colors, be best for this trip, we will be diving off the island of Freeport, Bahamas at around 8am to 1pm.. so the water will be fairly clear.. i have done some research online and just dont know what it is i should look for in a camera and what would be best at that depth.
Please Help..!!
Thank you in Advance :)

p.s.. $50 to $60 is what i want to spend, but i do not want to really go more then $100, it is not a camera i will use more then 2 or 3 times..

Answer
Your price range, none rated for 25 feet. The best you'll find is one of those disposables that's waterproof. They're dirt cheap at just under 20 bucks but the bad news is that they are generally rated for just 16 feet. 25 ft would probably spell the end of it. You might, just might...find one of those waterproof bags that will fit an existing camera that you own. I'm unsure of their depth rating however.
If I were in your shoes and with that budget I'd rent one. You should be able to rent a digital or film camera at any decent dive shop at your destination. Preferably you'll want one with strobe...not flash. Flash will give you some backscatter if there are any particles suspended in the water column. A strobe will help eliminate that. No strobe and you'll be more or less limited to macros (close ups). Your wide angle or long distance shots will suffer.
